Members of Congress should not need to be forced to obey the Constitution, at least not every day or even several times per day and on nearly every issue. Member of the House and Senate should be _leading_ in maintaining Constitutional strictures and principles, because they understand the freedom-eroding effects to all of us when we do not "confirm [our] soul in self-control, [our] liberty in law."

Shame on those who vote for pulling levers for pre-picked party candidates when they know in advance that they will not keep their oaths of office! The r3VOLution must start in our own hearts. When we have courage enough to work for and vote for Constitutional candidates, we will see a change (and then and only then deserve it). - Pat Henry

The only problem with the Constitution is the constant abuse of power by all three branches of government. The Constitution is already being ignored. Why in the world would anyone assume that adding another amendment or two would change that? That would be like passing a law to make it illegal to break the law. The people ignoring the first will ignore the second as well.

If ANYTHING is done to the Constitution, it should be restricted to repealing several foolishly added amendments. These would include the 14th, 16th, and 17th amendments.

Given the outcome of the last Constitutional Convention (an entirely NEW constitution) and the fact that any convention would undoubtedly be hijacked by the Establishment, a con-con is an unbelievably BAD idea! - rprew
